François Lévy
Since he was born, François Lévy has been immersed in inventing, crafting, and repairing. Graduating from the Special School of Architecture in 2011, he has delved into diverse realms of design, from objects to buildings, scenography, and set design. Transitioning from architectural roles to focusing on set design, François established his own furniture and object design studio in 2020.
François Lévy approaches design with an experimental mindset, rooted in materials, tools, and crafting techniques. He engages in a dialogue with materials, whether industrial, artisanal, or manual, infusing objects with narrative and tactile elements. Each creation bears the memory of its crafting process, embodying the tension inherent in its production. With his designs, François Lévy encourages viewers to engage not just visually, but also tactilely, inviting them to explore the honesty and essence of the materials used.
