Neal Aronowitz

Neal Aronowitz Design was founded in 2014 and has rapidly won notable acclaim in the international design world. The focus of the studio is the design and fabrication of highly sculptural, hand-crafted bespoke furniture and lighting, with a passion for daring forms and material exploration. Aronowitz was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and grew up inspired by the great art to be found in the world-class museums of New York City. He studied art and architecture at City University of NY and Massachusetts College of Art.

Aronowitz’ debut pieces were the Whorl Coffee Table and Whorl Console, which won international awards including Interior Design Magazine Best of Year. These developed into the Concrete Canvas Collection. Concrete Canvas is an innovative new material and Aronowitz is the only designer working with this material. His innovations in design with Concrete Canvas was the subject of a documentary called “How To Bend Concrete in 108 Easy Steps”, which won awards for Best Documentary in film festivals on three continents.

In 2017 Aronowitz made his first foray into lighting with the Boro Boro Light, a dynamic and exuberant Chandelier which won second place in the LAMP International Design Competition in Vancouver BC.
